Digital Memory = Reflecting on the increasing rate of our experiences being filtered through a digital lens. No longer rooted in time and space, we have a greater ability to learn from - and empathise with - people from all over the world from the comfort of home. But at the same time, the information hitting our senses is no longer raw.
It's filtered - necessarily information is lost in the conversion from fractal reality to lossy 1's and 0's.
It's filtered - information presented as truth when there is always a bias, a subjective source.
It's filtered - algorithms dictate what you see based on what it thinks will keep you on their website, not what's good or important for you to see.
Made by combining photoscans of life while stuck at home during COVID-19, and exaggerating low-poly glitches in Blender. Squeezed it all into a layer of the stratigraphic record and left it to age.
